Morocco’s national airliner Royal Air Maroc is set to resume flights to Angola due to the southern African country’s tourism potential and improved business environment. Flights to Angola’s capital city of Luanda will resume this month.
Royal Air Maroc highlighted Angola’s emergence as a destination of choice for foreign investors seeking partnerships in the nation’s oil, fisheries and trade industries as primary reasons for reinstating flights to the Angolan capital.
With Royal Air Maroc serving as part of the global airline alliance, Oneworld Alliance, over 900 destinations in 170 countries will now be available to passengers traveling to and from Luanda, consolidating Morocco’s position as a premier traveling hub in Africa.
Royal Air Maroc’s resumption of flights to Angola is poised to contribute to the continent’s growing airline industry, with an estimated 334 million passengers expected on the continent’s air routes by 2037.
